I think using Newgrounds uberduck voices on Newgrounds is cheating

Posted by LilMissCheerleader - November 2nd, 2022

Soooooooo, my friends on YouTube use uberduck voices for their videos, but if someone made a newgrounds animation using uberduck voices of Newgrounds voice actors, I feel like that's cheating. Because I have a feeling the original voice actor will see the animation and be like "Hey, I didn't say that!"

So, yeah. I think it is or should be a rule that using uberduck voices is considered cheating. That's why I don't use uberduck on my Newgrounds movies because if I need voice actors, then I'll just ask.

Like example, you're making a Tankman animation and you used the Tankman voice from Uberduck. Like, clever, but can be very suspicious.

That's why I rather just ask for voice actors than just use some A.I. sentence mixing text-to-speech to do the voices.

I hope people know about this and I hope this can be advice for future animation.

It's fine for parodies.

For more serious stuff, I'd get flesh and blood voice actors. Or voicaloid if I'm really cheap.
